Hey coach!

If you’re like most flag football coaches, your enthusiasm for coaching outweighs your knowledge of the game, and that’s okay.

Flag football is still a relatively new game, and that presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities for us coaches. The main one I’ve found is that no one really knows what they’re doing. No matter how much experience a coach has, they’re still just making it up as they go.

It’s how we’ve done it for more than 7 seasons, and while we’ve had some tough games (a couple mercy rules come to mind), generally we’ve found a lot of success (building great teams and teammates, developing players, and consistently finishing over .500 against some of the toughest competition in our city).
